Dear Mr. Miklavic

The following will confirm our conversation regarding the addition of grandchildren to the list of immediate family Members pursuant to the bereavement leave provision.

Pursuant to Article 12, paragraph H, immediate family for the purpose of bereavement leave shall include: father or stepfather (one only), mother or stepmother (one only), spouse, child, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, the employee’s grandparents, the employee’s grandchildren or any legal dependent residing in the employee’s household.
