A:14 Incentive from United airlines
Under Rich Delaney, the IAM became the first of United’s union groups to accept an employee incentive offer made by United.
“Arrival:14” rewards IAM-represented Members with a one hundred dollar payment for a first place DOT ranking among all carriers for number of flights arriving on-time or within 15 minutes of schedule. A sixty five dollar pay-out occurs when United comes in second or when United meets its own stated goal. United’s A:14 incentive mimics those of Continental, American, Delta and others. United’s A:14 is in effect as of January, 2009.n The new program replaces United’s A:14 pass travel incentive program.
“We have had initial discussions with the leadership of our eligible union groups and are encouraged by the overall feedback to date,” United said in its internal News Reel. It added, “The International Association of Machinists (IAM) has already endorsed the program, and we greatly appreciate their willingness to embrace this key means of rewarding our people.”
Richard Delaney, District 141 President said, “Our members deserve to be rewarded for the hard work they perform every day. This program recognizes that work and benefits IAM members in a real, tangible way.”
