The
Mission Statement of the Education Department of the Grand Lodge states,
“Education is an essential element of everything we do as a trade union.
This education will ensure the IAM will continue to grow in strength and
size and be better prepared to confront the many challenges our membership
will face in the future.” The difference between a successful grievance that sets matters straight and the continued violation of our rights is usually an informed and knowledgeable membership. As such, we will continue to develop and update the Education Committee web pages as a means of addressing both general and specific topics of interest and importance to our Members, Shop Stewards and other Union Representatives. The education of all of our Members and Union reps is fully supported by the leadership of our District.
